Ahead of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh's 'Dil-Luminati' concert in Hyderabad on Friday, the Telangana government issued a notice instructing him to avoid performing songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence. The notice was prompted by a complaint from Chandigarh-based professor Panditrao Dharenavar, aiming to prevent such content at the concert.

The complaint included video evidence of Diljit allegedly performing songs promoting these themes during his October 26-27 shows at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Issued on November 7 by the Rangareddy district welfare officer from the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, the notice warns him not to include these topics in his Hyderabad performance.
Diljit has also been advised not to bring children on stage, citing WHO guidelines on sound exposure: adults should not experience peak levels above 140 decibels, while children should stay below 120 decibels. "Your concert guidelines allow children under 13, but concerts with loud sounds and flashing lights can harm children," the notice added.
Diljit’s concert is set for Friday at 7 p.m. at GMR Arena on Airport Approach Road, with a crowd of over 20,000 expected. Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty confirmed that police will be present for traffic and crowd management.
Since arriving in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Diljit shared glimpses of his visit on social media, including a rickshaw ride and a stop at the iconic Charminar.
